I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about Sirao Flower Farm from my news feed lately. It’s the newest craze in town after Temple of Leah, a Roman architecture built by Teodorico Adarna, father of actress Ellen Adarna, as a symbol of his undying love for his late wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna.
If this is in your bucket list, then here’s everything you need to know about the place:
Where is Sirao Flower Farm?
Busay, Cebu Philippines (40 mins away from the city)
How do you get there?
You can hire the motorcycle (habal-habal) drivers in JY Square. They are usually familiar with the place, so no need to worry. The fair is P200 (round trip). Try to haggle and don’t pay for more than this amount because this is already a generous offer.
Can you go through by car / Scooter? Yep!
TIP: You will pass by Temple of Leah on your way there. Might as well make a stop! :)
Is there an entrance fee?
There is none. But if you’d like to take photos, you have to pay P20 or P100 if you want to shoot some videos. A cheap price to pay if you’d like to shoot your debut or engagement photos there.
Can you buy some freshly-picked flowers?
Yes! The cost is P35 for 12 stems.
Is the farm blooming with flowers the whole year round?
No. The best months to go there is November, December, and January. But I believe they’ll be planting more flowers due to their recent popularity, so I’ll update this when I can. :)
Is the size of the farm huge?
No. They are divided into three different medium sized fields.
