All kids and kids at heart love Disney. I grew up watching Cinderella, Belle, and Minnie and Mickey. And now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching Disney shows/movies like Phineas and Ferb and of course, the world hit, Frozen. That is why my holiday getaway to Disneyland is nothing but memorable – despite the weather being uncooperative. ☺
When we arrived at Disneyland – Hong Kong, the weather was really gloomy. We hoped it wouldn’t rain but I guess the sky wants the guests wet that day. I was soaking wet when I hugged Mickey because I did not want to leave the queue even if it meant being under the rain. I did not mind the long wait. “I have to have a photo with my Mickey The Legend Mouse,” I told my cousin and brother.
When the rain finally slowed down, we decided to make the most of our time left! We got a map and went from one ride to another, making sure that we didn’t miss a ride. We also made sure that we got photo opps from our fave Disney characters like Belle, Snow White, among others.
My favorite ride of all would be the Disneyland’s Space Mountain. It was the mother of all roller coasters I have ever tried. So basically their theme is “space” so you enter a huge and dark building; you see lights in form of stars and constellations; an announcer counts to ten; then off you go! The swings were awesome and we even tried doing 365 full turns. What makes it legendary is that you have no idea when you’re going to turn again, since all you see is black and some lights!
Some of the people we knew who was also there went home early and did not wait for the fireworks. But my family and I agreed that we would, and boy was I so grateful that we did! I was so teary-eyed watching the fireworks display. I had goosebumps all over my body. I thought of all the movies I watched, all the lessons I learned. I thought of how much I wanted to be a princess or a fairy; how much I would want to meet the seven dwarfs. These silly dreams of mine are finally a reality!
I didn’t want to leave the place, I wanted to stay there and play with all the Disney characters longer. But like Cinderella, our time was up and we had to leave our dreamland. I wasn’t too sad though, I knew the magic will live on forever in my heart. ♥
I always enjoy my time at Hong Kong Disneyland especially the fireworks and the Disney Characters.
We all do! x
This looks like it was amazing to go to. I would love to be able to take my boys to Disneyland one day.
Your boys would love the place! x
That looks like fun! Would love to go there someday :)
It was so much fun! x
Wow! Disneyland! My husband and I are planning to go there maybe in 2015. We’ll bring our son with us too and as early as now, I am so excited. That would be a dream come true :)
You’ll have loads of fun for sure! xx
Great pictures. I can’t wait to take my daughter.
I must get there once and for all! haha hopefully this year :)
I’ve never been to HK but I’ve visited the Disneyland in both Paris and Tokyo and I got to say Space Mountain was my favorite too!! And of course the parade and fireworks are so beautiful!!!
If you ever go to Tokyo you definitely need to check Disney Sea out. Personally I like it more than TDL, the park and the sea is so beautiful. You feel like you’re in another world <3
I’ve been in Disneyland Paris last year and I’ve appreciated it very much :)
In my opinion, Disneyland is a magic world because it gives you the possibility to dream and remember your childhood ♥
I wish I could go there. :)
More power btw
You can! Dream and it will happen! xo
